Path To Siva Tamil Voice Project Experience

In 2023, I volunteered to provide a voice-over for one of our monastery’s projects. Our monastery has a book titled Path to Siva, written by Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami. The book contains 64 lessons designed to help the youth understand themselves and explore many mystical concepts. You can find the book here: Path to Siva.

The English version of the book was narrated by our Satguru Bodhinatha. I had the opportunity to provide the voice-over for the Tamil version. Even though I had previous experience recording product demo videos for my startup, ActOnMagic, recording in my mother tongue—Tamil—was a new and challenging experience.

There were many retakes, along with video editing and audio corrections using MacOS iMovie software. This experience taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of doing a job without expecting any reward.

I had many self-doubts about whether such a project could be successfully executed. However, when the Guru is with you, everything else falls into place. At home, after the evening arati, we would read one lesson every day. This practice helped me complete the voice-over project.
