Getting Selected for NSRCEL Incubation

Through various meetings and connections, we learned about the IIMB NSRCEL incubation program. I filled out the online application and met with mentors at IIMB NSRCEL (Thank you, Mr. Mohan). This was the first time I ever entered a business school! The IIMB campus is a beautiful place. Many told me the movie “3 Idiots” was shot here!

The judgment day arrived. My teammate Ashish and I visited IIMB to pitch our idea. And guess what?! Mr. Sanjay Anandaram was the jury head that day. It’s amazing how the dots connect. I started by telling a story: my grandma once asked me what I was doing, and I narrated my idea using an analogy of a grocery store. I explained how our product helps with customer retention and how our recommendation engine helps create better product bundles to maximize profit

A couple of weeks later, we received a call from the COO of IIMB NSRCEL (Mr. Siva) informing us that our startup idea had been selected for incubation!
It was our first validation! We received good PR, and I felt more confident.
