The first meet with Sequoia

In 2014, I received a call from Mr. Ashish at Sequoia. This was my very first meeting with any VC.

The Sequoia office was in the Philips Building, Ulsoor. I arrived on my two-wheeler (Avenger! 😉 ) and was quite nervous. As I began to explain what we were doing (at that time, a team of three: one intern, two mentors), Mr. Roy from Sequoia quickly pointed out that we were a bit early for Sequoia. At that point, we had only one inquiry from a Middle Eastern Cloud Provider/System Integrator about their issues with a Cloud Portal Solution.

Each of these meetings was incredibly important. For an early-stage startup, every insight gained is as valuable as revenue.

These introductions helped us stay in touch with the Sequoia team and receive constant feedback. They were very founder-friendly, and two years later, they provided excellent introductions to their portfolio companies to try ActOnMagic.
