The Master Course from Himalayan Academy
After getting to know about Gurudeva and Satguru Bodhinatha (Read The Spiritual Path: A Journey of Transformation), it was time for me to undergo the formal master course study. The master course includes studying three books written by Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. The three books are Dancing with Siva, Living with Siva, and Merging with Siva. Each book includes 365 lessons. Basically, one needs to read the lesson from Dancing with Siva, then read from Living with Siva, and finally read from Merging with Siva.
A short introduction to these three master class books:
- Dancing with Siva
Dancing with Siva gives an introduction to the Soul, who we are, the two paths (Grihastha and Monastic), Hinduism’s Saivite, Vaishnavite, Shakta, and Smartas traditions, and an introduction to various Gods, + fundamental things about Sanatana Dharma. Even if someone is born in India, this book helps to get a basic understanding of the soul, religion, temple worship, and many other things corrected. - Living with Siva
Living with Siva gives confidence to anyone to live their life joyfully. It explains various kinds of minds and their interworking, how we carry our past as our backlogs, and thinking too much into the future and not living in the present. - Merging With Siva
Merging with Siva is the diamond, I would say. I believe only Gurudeva could have explained various inner workings and mysticism in such a detailed, profound, and understandable way in English.
